Feedback on balloon movement!

I have been working on a custom movement based on balloons to learn a bit more about Roblox’s physics and i want to get some feedback on it!

At the moment how it works is you can start floating by falling off a raised brick or jump and hold space, to go up and down is space and shift. After around 7 seconds of floating your balloon will pop and will only reinflate once you’ve landed and you can tell how long you have left by the balloon increasing in size as you float, if you land the timer will reset.

Right now I’ve made a lives system for it (which I haven’t shown off in the video below) and am working on a fan that will blow the balloon in a certain direction!

My plan (if I’m going to make this into a full blown game) is to make it a puzzle/obby game, something like Portal.

Id love to hear any questions, feedback or suggestions!

The custom movement looks pretty awesome. I like the animations for it too. I also think this would be a pretty unique idea for a puzzle or obby game. This is a great use of balloon physics, nice job!

This is such a cool conept. I really enjoyed looking at that as I have never seen something like this done in Roblox before. The animation is also very quirky which is a good thing.

For the game, you could add challenges that have the potiential to pop the balloon causing you to fall. Peraphs by using extreme wind, spikes, or using the balloon for too long.

I’ve already added that if you use it for too long it pops, if you look closely the balloon inflates bigger the longer you float and after about 7 seconds it pops. The idea to add hazards that pop it are great, thank you so much!

Make it so when you touch a certain block or a spike it pops, but otherwise it’s awesome . This would make a perfect platformer. Really nice animations too. 9/10

Uuh how did you even accomplish such a thing? Do you have any resources I could use?

You can use BodyForce, BodyPosition, BodyVelocity, a lot of options.

I like it a lot, I feel you can work on the animation by making his legs wiggle around, and not move at the exact same time. You know what I mean? But I really like it, good job!
