Hey all!
I’ve been solo developing a tower defense game for about a year now and it’s just about finished. I’d love to hear some feedback on what people think so far and any bugs/improvements you have or find.
My spin on the tower defense genre is slightly different. The path the enemies take is entirely dependent on how you decide to build your base. Meaning that there are an infinite number of possible base constructions and setups.
Ayee that is really nice man!, Keep up the Good work!, I like the UI Design, Build Design, everything it fits so well I just cant think of any or see any flaws. also quick question how long did it takes to make this?
Thanks! I really appreciate the feedback. I’ve worked on it on and off since last summer, so over a year. If I had to estimate I’d say around 4-5 months without any breaks
I really like this, its very well done and looks like a great and fun game. I like the concept of the path changing as you place walls that’s a neat twist.
The rest of the game looks all polished, the UI and gameplay all works very well, I can see that I’d enjoy playing this.
Have just been playing this now for the last 2 and a bit hours, its really fun. Is a very good game, and I hope it does well.
The flamethrowers are very cool.
A couple of really minor things that might be nice additions
I was mostly standing by other bases to talk and playing rounds while doing that (half watching my base). If I wanted to go into build mode the camera zooms up (which is good, it helps to see what I’m building) but I still have to walk back to my base. I know I’m being very lazy but could it zoom over to my base while I’m building, then back to me when I stop, it would just feel like a nice time saver
A very very picky point, when trying to select or sell the spike trap I have to hover right over a spike. A few times I had my mouse between two spikes and I thought I should have been selected it but it didn’t. Not sure if you could have some sort of invisible bounding box that’s selectable, might just be a tiny bit easier.
Would it be possible to enable emotes from the system menu, I like to dance while I’m killing stuff… And the inventory that is there doesn’t seem to have a use so could maybe be hidden.
Great game, still playing as I write this, will see if I can upgrade to a volcano next…
Thanks for the feedback! I somehow missed the notification, sorry for the late response.

I actually really like this idea, this was something that bothered me as well but i couldn’t think of a solid solution to it. I’ll definitely implement something like you mentioned

I have this in my list of things to fix, just haven’t gotten around to it yet. I agree it definitely needs an invisible hitbox

Yeah I can do that, I haven’t actually played another Roblox game in a very long time so I didn’t even realize this was an option.
Thanks a ton for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
