Feedback on Blender Pistol

I spent some time making a pistol in blender. The pistol was inspired/loosely based off of a H9. I would appreciate some feedback.

It looks good overall, but I do think it looks a bit too smooth personally.

Take this image for example, adding some minor details such as the ridged exterior of the top of the pistol and the grip on the sides of it may make your model look much better in a realistic sense. I do think it looks a bit too round, perhaps making it a little less curvy and a bit more square would also help, again, if you’re taking a realistic approach.

However, if you’re leaning more toward a more low poly / cartoonish style then I do think it looks near perfect. Possibly try to extend the barrel out a bit, but other than that I don’t have many complaints. Overall, the gun looks pretty good, nice job!

Thanks for the informative feedback!

Looks amazing! I like the form of the mesh you made. It stands out and very noticeable just by looking at it.
I would say you could some slightly changes towards it to have a perfect shape of the mesh.

I would say this part of the gun you made is a bit to long.
If you desire to shorten it.

I would say you could make the lines on the gun a bit detailed to show.
Also you could add extra details for it to stand out even more.

Overall I think everything else is on point for a mesh pistol. I love it!

Amazing skills! :+1::smile:

The grip looks really good, however the major problem rises with the lack of detail on the top part, It’s a bit too long

This part should be reduced and added more detail to, same with the length and overall thickness being reduced drastically.

It could use some more detailing such as the lining of the gun, which could be done through the edge split modifier together with the marking of sharp edges.

For bits like this you’ll want to sharpen anything that’s not meant to be smooth, to do so you go into edit with>select the edges>right click>mark sharp.
