Hi!
Im currently developing a brutalist stylized philosophy puzzle game, Called Tower of Desolaris. Im currently working on a new room for the Prelude of the game. I thought i should show off the room alongside some other small things around the map. I would really appreciate some feedback on how i can improve it.
This is probably one of the best builds I’ve seen! Absolutely incredible!
If I were you though I wouldn’t expect most of Roblox players to appreciate this since they are extremely young but, that’s not at all your fault. Great Build!
While coming up with the idea for this project, i already was worried about it not getting to the right audience, as majority of roblox players is children and teens. Which if we are going to be real
with ourselves are not very good at creative artistic thinking. But either way i still want to create a great artistic/philosphical experience and maybe inspire a few people along the way. I really hope this whole thing kickstarts a new niche on the Roblox platform and encourages people to not be scared to express themselves in fears of getting drowned out by the brainrot slop that infests the main page. We were made in the Image of God and that is to create.
There are still a few things i have planned for it as its not fully finished, i would say what i shown of atleast for this room is like 90% done. Its mostly minor things and the collectibles. (The main gameplay loop requires the player solving the puzzles so they can collect all the readable stone tablets which after collecting enough of them allows the player to progress further)
This room build looks VERY GOOD! I LIKE THE STYLE OF IT! GREAT JOB ON THIS! How long did it take to build in total? It’s very cool! What game will it be used in?
Thanks! I would say that this room probably took like 3 - 4 days to make including making all the custom materials and other minor things. As i said in the post, Its for the game im currently solo developing, The Tower of Desolaris. Its a exploration/puzzle philosophical experience, Something on a par to Talos Principle or Antichamber. Its going to probably going to shake some ground as the game will discuss some heavy topics.
I love the gray tone colors in first image. I think this buold is ‘actua’ly ‘’ ‘re’lal’a’ly’ ‘good’.’ Ii’‘d’‘on’‘t’ ‘‘have’ an’y s’ug’‘e’s’ts’, it se’'emms fine the way it is now, maybe some areas or’are 'little bland?.
Yeah some earlier areas seem bland in comparison to this one, and they will definetly need some makeup. But i will get to them when redesigning the first starting area.
