FEEDBACK on cafe wip

Hey so I recently have been doing my first ever cafe commision,

I need some serious criticism and tips!

I really like the design of the ceiling lamps and I think you should make the logs in the fireplace thinner

Here’s a couple tips:

  • Make sure there are no dark spots in the building
  • Add some more display cases for food

That’s all I can think of assuming you aren’t done : )

Thank you! Will do! I was planning on adding effects to the logs but studio seems to crash on every attempt to do so :frowning:

Can you think of any ways I can remove the dark spots without overcluttering the ceiling with lights?

You could add an invisible part on the floor and give it a dim light of your choice by inserting a lighting option of your choice

That’s really smart…nice thanks!!

You can also change the light’s range

Very good build!
Assuming that the build isn’t done, heres a couple of suggestions:

  • Change the floor texture for any wood texture that isn’t from roblox. (I recommend using Texture Library Tool by LionSaidROAR)

  • This sofa can be improved imo.

  • Change the glass material to smooth plastic for optimizing(I usually use 0.6 transparency and 0.3 reflectance.)

  • Those triangle lights are too low. (If you jump you’ll hit your head)

  • This wall looks sussy

Overall it’s a great build, when finished this will be a very cozy place to drink some coffee!
Keep up the good work!

The café is nice, but you could make some improvements.

  • The lighting isn’t great, so you could find a few ways to improve on that.
  • For the corner sofa, the armrests at the sides aren’t positioned great, so you could try moving the armrests in, and scaling them forward a bit.
  • For the wall (mentioned in the above quote), the two parts are spaced between, which doesn’t always look great.

Apart from that, I see potential! Keep working hard.

Regarding that this is one of your first cafe builds it looks really nice, a lot better than when I started out.

Here’s some suggestions:

  • The colors are pretty bland, they don’t really pop out. Try playing with the lighting because there is a bit to improve on that.
  • The exterior is bright but once you walk inside it gets really dim. The ceiling lights you already have don’t have much of a range and the huge neon triangle doesn’t look that good. If you don’t want to clutter the ceiling with lights you can either add a small circle light with a higher range and brightness, or as HiJoeyJr2 said an invisible part. Give the lights a bit of a tint.
  • Everything, even the furniture is blocky. There is a low use of meshes and knowing how to 3D model is a big part of building so I recommend getting to learn Blender.
  • The textures aren’t the best. Right now all I can see is wood plank and dull colors in smooth plastic material. Non-Roblox textures usually look better.

The terrain could also be better, as right now it’s just a flat baseplate but since you’re not done I’m going to happily assume that this is bound to change.
