I think it looks quite nice!
The only thing that popped in my head was maybe you could add an icon that reflects the game in the little blue square? Not really necessary though.

It fits the first and third criteria, but I don’t know if it looks ‘modern’. It looks nice, though!

Yeah, but it would be a pic of the player, except it’s “zoomed out” so it’s simple.

Agreed. You should add the logo or a important game object onto the blue square.
Ah okay. I was gonna suggest to fill something in that space to make it look more complete. That should do the job.

Ok! This was a good idea overall and I like the futuristic card.
