Feedback On Desk Setup

I am making a game where you make your own technology and I was thinking of making a room where the camera pans into the desk where you make your technology - there is only one slight problem, I am not good at building at all. So I came onto the dev forum to hopefully get answers on how to improve my build.

The thing under the desk is a bin, the things that are on the desk are a plant, paper and a phone that you customise / make. None of the things are free modelled apart from the bush - I wanted to use that bush instead of making my own as its sort of iconic to roblox (lots of games used to use that same model).

Any feedback, suggestions or opinions would be helpful. The build style is supposed to be modern and bright!

Add plants on the edge and add 2 different designs on the wall like [brick, white plastic]

maybe add some picture frames and you’re good!

Thanks for the advice! what do you mean by two different designs on the wall? Could you elaborate further!

Like, make the front wall and the right wall plastic and white while the other wall is still bricks.

This will create a good modern effect on your build.

I would suggest making a number system around the clock, pictures w/ frames, moving the trash bin to the left side, a pencil bin, perhaps a floating shelf stuck to the wall, etc. Other than that, the technology could be anything aslong as it’s a tech (probably already knew that tho lol). Then add tools on the shelf that can be use for working on the tech.

This is just my thoughts though, as you can take it or not, either way good luck.

Try to develop more effort into it before asking for feedback or criticism. It’s an alright start to a setup scene, even if you’re new to building, but there isn’t much to really give feedback on if your going for a modern with a little bit of vibrant colors on it. Try making it fit the style so it doesn’t look like a home desk that will normally be used in my point of view, if you’re going for that type of theme setup.

Try building using reference images to work on getting a better approach to a modern look just to get the overall structure correct. (Smaller props and more of a detailed desk) can go a long way, even if you’re wanting a simplistic design.

By going off of reference images, it helps as a guide for finding the design you want and the props that are featured on it and the surrounding areas, I would try adding more to it.

Its a Great Job. But You Need Maybe Coffe ?

Hey! I’ve got some tips for you!

If you’re going for a modern and bright style, I’d suggest changing the walls up, maybe to a brighter colour (or even adding a wallpaper texture). You could also add more things on the desk - some pencils maybe, cup holder (lol), desk lamp (bright) etc.

You could also try adding picture frames or paintings, I think they would look pretty cool!

I also suggest revamping the clock to something more realistic and modernized. At the moment it looks pretty simple, so a revamp would look pretty nice!

Overall your creation is pretty cool! I really like the bin for some reason! Keep up the good work! :white_check_mark:

Hey, that looks great. Good attempt of your build. Also, I have some suggestions to improve your build.

You might wanna add some plants in vases to decorate the floor and place it in front of the walls, to make it look like an office desk,If that’s what you’re going for

Next, you might wanna add some things in there too. I suggest making a PC on the desk, also maybe with some things all stacked up on the desk. Also, I suggest adding some picture frames hanging on the walls, to get the mood.

By the way, about the clock, good attempt on making one. You can improve that by adding the numbers on the clock.
