I’m making a fencing game, and I made this prototype where the client will attempt to visualize how far behind you are on the server based on your ping (in the video I made the distance consistent for reference). It’s a toggleable setting that’s off by default.
Would something like this be too distracting for this type of game? Would anybody use this setting? How could I change it to be less distracting/more enticing to use? One obvious solution I could think of would be to to further raise the opacity of the visualization, but it’s already at 95%.
