The Developer Awards program seems to have been halted without any clear communication. Many developers in my circle, including myself, have not received their earned rewards, such as the Crown of O’s, Swag Bags, or the Longsword codes. We put a lot of effort into our projects based on these milestones. It would be greatly appreciated if the team could provide an official update or clarification regarding the status of these awards and when we can expect them to be resumed or fulfilled
I’ve checked in with the team who helps manage this program and they confirmed the Developer Awards is still active. They are aware of a delay in processing these awards and are looking into longer term solutions to better support the program. At this time, I don’t have a timeline on when the awards will be distributed, so I appreciate your patience on the matter.
Thanks for the update. I hope what you’re saying is accurate, but I have to be honest, I’m skeptical. I’ve emailed devawards@roblox.com twice about this, and I never received a single reply to either message. Not even an acknowledgment.
Thank you for reaching out to them but I agree with others that it seems like the program is incredibly inconsistent. I have surpassed the 100k MAU for years now and haven’t gotten rewarded with the relevant crown for it yet. I know many other developers are in this same situation.
This has been reported many times over the years, and marked as something that was being looked at multiple times (example 1 from 2023, example 2 from 2025). There are many developers that still believe the program is active, as evidenced by the many “Missing Crown of O’s” posts, and statements such as this only continue to mislead the community.
There has not been any improvement in three years. Either Roblox needs to actually improve transparency on what’s happening inside the program, or discontinue it officially. This is just disrespectful to developers at this point.
Even when contacting Roblox support to ask about it they refer you to the devawards@roblox.com email. They should integrate this data into support imo.
I too have been eligible for the swag bag for the past 2 years now and still haven’t received any updates regarding it. I just really hope they bring it back, its been a bit of a let down.
Roblox has always been a little inconsistent with how they roll out things. I somehow got the black iron crown of o’s but I never got my verified badge in 2022. To be fair I currently do not meet the requirements for verified anymore, but it sucks that you have to consistently meet the requirements and hope you get lucky to receive it in a wave instead, I kinda wished they logged that you meet the requirements and then you get it. When the discord bot verification was 75+ servers you could still get your bot verified even if your bot was in 60 servers by the time your application was reviewed
I don’t see why Roblox support can’t just provide the information. I feel like if you were able to get someone they could help you out but I think they are just told to refer you to that department assuming they are active.
Yeah, exactly. I actually talked to someone who works in Developer Relations over Discord, and they said they’d get me info about the Developer Awards. But they never got back to me either.
I’ve been eligible for the first few crowns for years at this point and haven’t gotten a single one. I emailed the devawards support without a response. What makes this more confusing is the fact that I know people who barely meet the requirements that got them shortly after hitting the milestones, while many developers have been waiting for years. It doesn’t make sense that the system is luck/wave based. I really hope Roblox fixes the system because it’s a great one if it works.
Thank you for bringing the Developer Awards program back! It’s great to see it return, and it shows that developer feedback actually gets heard.
One small piece of feedback if I may: right now the whole thing feels like a bit of a black box. It’s not always clear who is eligible and who isn’t, and sometimes even the developer can’t tell where they stand. A dedicated section in the Creator Hub where we could see our eligibility status and award progress would help a lot. The same kind of visibility would be hugely valuable for things like RDC invitations too.
Thanks again for the update and for listening to the community!
