Around a year ago, I started working on a game where you would play as a dragon and defeat knights, back then the game had a bad spawn system, was laggy, and everything ran on a timer instead of depending on if you’ve killed all knights or not, it also had no allies. I want feedback on the game, I wanna know what is there to fix and what can I change to make it better. This recent version of the game has enemies only spawning in the castle and only starts the next wave if you’ve defeated all enemies.

Its a cool concept. There is a distinct lack of flying, perhaps a double jump would be enough. The dragon also moves quite slowly so once the NPCs have caught up with you it is difficult to get away.
I would like to see a fire breathing ranged attack. Perhaps a stomp which could knock down the NPCs to allow me to escape a bit. It might be good if the NPCs spawned in waves, with progressively more to kill each time.
Thanks a lot for the feedback. You are right that there is no flying and a double jump would suffice, I think the same thing since flying would either be too op or too laggy. About the speed, you can use shift to run. And by the way, there is already a ranged attack that changes depending on your dragon, I don’t know which dragon you got but if you used E it would create a power ball depending on its element, example: the yellow dragon makes an electric ball and the red dragon makes a fire ball. And lastly, the NPCs already spawn in waves.
