Feedback on early version of my new movement shooter, Killmode

Hi everyone. I’ve been working on a movement based shooter, similar to Titanfall 2, Doom Eternal and some other games, but with a playstation 1 aesthetic. It’s working name is Killmode, and I’ve been slowly building it together over the last few months to get it into a playable state. At the moment I’m looking for feedback on aspects of the gameplay so I can polish the gameplay before moving onto other aspects of the game, such as the single player campaign.

Some basic gameplay info:

You can wallrun on yellow highlighted walls by holding A or D while looking away or at the wall (this might take a while to get the hang of)
Enemies drop health canisters when they die, and there are 2 health pickups around the map.
There are currently 3 movement types: double jump (default), sprint and jetpack. You cannot hold out primary weapons while sprinting. Your sprint/jetpack meter and double jump are restored when wallrunning or touching ground.
To slide on the ground, hold left shift. When you press left shift in the air, you will dash forward.
I recommend you play on maximum graphical quality for the best experience, and on keyboard and mouse. Most of the guns also have placeholder models, and to change your movement ability you can press M at any time.

I would appreciate it greatly if you guys can give me some feedback after testing the game by voting 1-3 (1 being the worst, 3 being the best) on the polls below, and/or writing a suggestion or comment down below about what you like and don’t like about it, or what I could add to make it better.

You can access the game via the menu (Killmode - Roblox), by choosing “MULTIPLAYER”, or launch straight into the multiplayer with this link (Killmode Multiplayer Pre-Alpha - Roblox)

Perhaps an option to disable the wall highlighting? This would make the game look a little nicer. People who play it 24/7 can disable it, because by then, they would already know which walls are which. New players would have it on by default, allowing their gameplay to be a bit easier while they are learning how to, well, you know.

Good idea, I never really thought about how the wall highlighting can be annoying for people who don’t need it.

Sorry to bother you again, but was there any other parts of the game that you felt could be improved, and why?

Hmm, I don’t think there is anything else to be improved. I do feel like the jet pack should be a little hard to control, though. It would add more difficulty to those that can get it, giving them a challenge. It also provides some fairness to new players. Maybe even a force field around players that just joined the game, to prevent spawn camping. Fall damage would be nice, too. It’s funny, I say I don’t have any ideas, and that’s when they all come to me, heh.

I was thinking about instead of fall damage, you’d be stunned after falling from a certain height (like in Apex Legends) and i’m currently adding a random spawning system to fix the spawncamping problem. Thanks again for the great feedback.
