Hello Devforum, I’m looking to know if making games like this on Roblox is worth it and if majority of players would appreciate it.
The game I have in mind for a team of people is one like Stardew Valley, here is a basic rundown: You’ve inherited your grandfather’s old farm plot in Stardew Valley.
Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life!
Will majority of players on Roblox even take a glance at it or even click on the game? I haven’t seen many games like this on Roblox and was wondering if people would even enjoy it. I kind of think that most would enjoy but I want to see if people actually WOULD want to play the game, since most people on Roblox are kids and wouldn’t grasp what the concept of the game is about and wonder what to do in the game.
As a example of a game theme the link shows a platform RPG based on a farm setting.
As a game designed a built for Android devices it maybe popular but Roblox is not aimed at that market and may be one of the reasons you have not seen many in Roblox games.
From my experience in playing RPG games all the activities are designed to get the player through the story line that has been established based on the players acceptance of a quest. Each quest is a complete min-game giving the player a sense of achievement that is reflected it the players status and shown in a leaderboard for all players to see.
You need to decide an a theme and then what activities would be included and what tasks and tools for each of them.Writing all this down in a plan will give you a strong base on which to base a game.

It’s a new concept and some games have this in their game, games like skybox which is on the front page(if I’m not wrong).
I don’t think people will want to play your game mainly because people usually play games for a sense of excitement and a lot of games which require grinding are things that get popular for a while but they eventually die off.
I personally won’t play your game because I don’t have any interests in this type of things but you could give it a shot. It could become famous!
