Feedback on game made in 1 hour

For some reason this has been getting some traction again. The place is now closed and I’m no longer working on it. Feel free to read the original post though if you want!

Original post

THello, today I’ve made an obby practice game in exactly 1 hour! Thats right, all code and builds were made in one hour. It was a fun little challenge and I recommend you try it if you’re bored or need some diversity from a big project.

I chose an obby game because my strong point is programming, not building. I know it lacks some special feature and only has 1 obstacle to practice but I plan to add more stuff.

Please give feedback on more features, what should be removed or redone and
whatnot.

Here’s a link to the game if you want to try it Yeti's obby practice - Roblox.

Played your game…

It’s okay for a game made in one hour, but there are a few things that needs to be changed.

  • Playable area is way too small for 10 players
  • Kill brick has same color as Spawn location
  • I understand that you are not the best builder, but perhaps changing the materials would make the game a bit more visually appealing

Good work though! :+1:t6:

Oh well, this is a cool place, however. There are some very negative points that can be easily fixed.

  • The materials used in the bricks can be variated and not all the same
  • Expand both spawn and practice areas
  • The layout and building is a bit confusing to practice (like the bricks and their positions)

If you improve these, I’m sure that it’ll be better, even for a game made in 1 hour. Also if you need help with building in some parts I could help. keep the good work

Thanks for the feedback! I will take it into consideration. Also, @MangyDev I would definitely appreciate some help, send me a dm and I’ll add you to teamcreate.

Made playable area bigger and fixed colors, but about the materials, that is the old plastic. Its supposed to be an “old” themed obby with the r6 avatars and all.

Your parkour does not look possible,I am not the best at parkour but a 12stud jump i dont think is possible, especially when its a neo.

It’s good that you made this in a hour, but in my opinion its all over the place. The wrap arounds are so close to eatchother that you can’t see anything with ur camera sometimes. But its a good game, keep it up!

Ah yes, my bad. will fix. (a 13 stud jump is actually technically possible using glitches, but that doesn’t count).

Pretty good!

However I died and the teleport stopped working.

I think this game is pretty well made for 1 hour! Although I had problems with the teleporters as well.

I don’t seem to be getting this problem. Could you explain exactly what happened?

I was practising the wrap arounds, then died. Then I tried going back and the teleporter to get back there didn’t work.

Could you try to replicate it? I think I’ve fixed it since in my playtests it works.

Seems to be fixed! I can’t replicate it anymore.

It doesn’t teleport me?

But so far looks decent for a game made in 1 hour!

Am fixing the bug. Rejoin in a few minutes.

I liked the game however the lobby and wraparounds areas we’re too small.

I like the game it’s quite nice but I feel like everything is a bit too compact and too close with each other, other than that I think it’s great :+1:
