I’m currently working on my commission sheet so I can define my prices and what I do. I’m having trouble though. Am I overselling or underselling myself? What would be the price for my work? Any feedback
would be great!
These prices are perfect! You can make them higher if you’d like, but never lower it!
Perfectly priced, in fact, I’d even go a bit higher, but that’s my personal opinion. They look very cool though, keep it up!
Hi @Endedbox45. Your work is fabulous. Overall I think you should lower the price to 250 robux - 2k robux. The reason I say this is because I think if you lower your price more people will want to order from you and you can make profit.
Alright first of all, I would discourage you from asking others how you should price your work. Any prices that you determine, should be determined by you, while critically analyzing your work.
Most people when determining prices for other people compare it off of themselves, and that has no relevance to you. An experienced artist could replicate what you do in half of the amount of time it took you, while doubling it in quality, could complain your prices are too high based off of their own, when they do not take into account the amount of time and effort it took you to reach them.
Okay, I’ll cut to the crap. Any price you set is fair for you, and is good enough for you. If you want to determine fair pricing, consider your experience. How many years of artistic or graphic design experience do you have? The more experience, the more qualified. How long does it take you to make each individual piece, considering the designing, the actual rendering, etc?
I believe most importantly, is how much demand do you have. A mediocre artist can afford to jack up their prices just to deal with the amount of commissions they take in. However, a semi-experienced artist that is new to the field will have to start low (your prices are a good start) and rise them as your experience and demand increases.
That’s really good feedback! I agree with some of your points too, thank you!
The value depends on the elements you add and the details you offer.
The second logo can be a good price but in the first one the price would go down since it looks normal.
In the miniature the price would be reduced by half but if it is a landscape with several elements you can increase it.
You pick the prices you feel comfortable with. I would recommend picking prices based on experience. I think your prices look good overall. This is a suggestion, I recommend keeping your prices low, and once you gain more experience, rise them up. Hope this helps, and good luck!
