Hi! A couple weeks ago, I posted a GFX I made asking for feedback, and got quite a few useful tips. I’ve attempted to make another one, incorporating some of the suggestions given to me:
a more interesting pose
experimented with a different rig
found some fun overlays
I’m not sure I’ve quite gotten the hang of lighting, though, and I would like to see if anyone can give me feedback on how to improve! Anything ranging from posing to lighting to overlays helps a lot. Thanks in advance!
Also, I set the background as transparent in Blender before I rendered the image. I used Cycles, but even though during the rendering process, the background was transparent, after saving the image I saw that the background was black, and not transparent. (I just went to film and clicked transparent.) I’m a complete noob so I’ve got not idea what’s going on, but could someone help me with that issue? I had to erase the background manually and I’d rather not have to do that in the future.
Hello there! This GFX is not 3D looking. Maybe try making the background using objects in blender. I take it you made lighting in blender, but because it is just an image background, it doesn’t look like it has any… It would be alright to use the text as an image but I suggest keeping the rest as objects. Maybe try locating the text somewhere up top, because that is covering the character… Maybe move it more down even, just to get it out the way a bit.
Apart from the above, this is great!
In the future, stick to the correct forum category. This is off topic and it belongs in #help-and-feedback:cool-creations.

Okay, thanks so much! I only used overlays for the background, as I wanted the character to be the main feature with the pink theme and everything behind. (It’s a game icon.) But thank you for the suggestion, I’ll try that out!
And oops, didn’t realize this was in the wrong category. I’ll fix that!
