So, I spend a few hours working on this wall loosely based off on ancient Greek architecture. I say loosely because I can’t find good, closeup references online. I’m going for “semi-” realisticness, so I would like some feedback on what I should improve on.
Also, if anyone wants to provide feedback for the stairs, I would highly appreciate it also. (it lacks some detail but I don’t know how to improve on that)
Looks amazing! 9/10! You could maybe dim colors a bit. They are too bright, I know you are going semi-realistic. But it will look too bright in a game.
When you’re doing something in the Ancient genre, things will be more pristine. So the marble (I’m presuming the wall is made of marble) would be more white. Pictures you see now of temples like the Parthenon is just from centuries of weathering, dirt, ect.
Thank you everyone for the feedback and the kind words! I went back to the build and changed up the colors, replaced the cobblestone material with slate, and added some detail to the top.
I’ve also made my pillar a little more thinner.
For the colors, it might be too bright again, but I think I can tinker with the lighting instead to make it look darker.
Such a nice build. I know its a month late sorry lol, but I saw this and had to comment. Looks absolutely fantastic. And did you use a texture for the “Greek key” or build that yourself?
Thank you so much! The Greek key was a texture I used that I grabbed online, but now that you said it I could build it myself to make it pop even more…
Hopefully, I’ll get back to building this since I haven’t touched it in a month hehe.
