Feedback on horror-ish game

After seeing quite an interesting creepypasta, I’ve made an infinitely generated maze. Currently there are 6 possible rooms. There are also phenomenons (Events) that happen every now and then. It’s supposed to give an unsettling vibe along with nostalgic fear, just like the creepypasta. I’d like to know how you think about this.

I would play it, but im kind of the faint of heart, so nah. Ill try to get someone else to play tho.

The Game
The Game overall, is pretty decent. I was startled the 1st couple of times when I heard the noises, but it got repetitive after a while since I never reached the end, nor I came across any of the 6 possible rooms you mentioned . I would add some jump-scares into the mix and having some possible rooms different, since they all appeared the exact same.

Things to improve on
I know how you said it was a maze and all, but I would add some things into some of the rooms, like props for example. I would also add different things to the walls to make them seem broken down a bit.

  • Couches
  • Cracked Walls
  • Unsettling props
  • Broken props
  • etc

I got a chance to play your game, and I’ll keep my comments light since it sounds like it is still a work in progress. I actually am pretty sure I know what 'pasta you based the game on.

In the beginning I was pretty on edge, the bland walls and droning sounds actually played a part in my unease. As I played the game longer I began to notice some things.

  • Lighting isn’t always uniform and sometimes spots seem unintentionally dark.
  • It could be played off as aesthetic to have an environment with minimal room props, but it still feels sort of empty.
  • The pace at which events play is slow and stays slow (at least it did for me). You could have something where the first few events are slow, but their timings speed up as you play more?

Pretty cool still. I love seeing Roblox versions of 'pastas.

Despite me hating creepypastas, I played. I spent about 5 min in game and nothing happened except for noises. The map itself is okay… the floor wouldn’t be my first pick and the wallpaper is quite ugly also, not best quality. I would change the colors to something darker as it gives off a more unsettling vibe, changing the floor to concrete or something and adding step sounds. You can add more random events like audio that plays of steps behind you. As others have pointed out, there is a lighting problem. Game was alright but since nothing happened to me and theres nothing to really look at, my exp was a little dull. Could upgrade it more. Good job

For those commenting about not happening anything in the game: it IS intended not to do anything. He based off from the “Backrooms” creepypasta, where someone would get trapped in infinite rooms that looks similiar to this, much like SCP-3008 but empty, uneventful, and yellow. The horror aspect lies in the sheer catiousness of people that it would do anything, while in reality there’s nothing. I would say he did quite a great job emulating this into a roblox game.

This game looks well done, but I have seen something called the true backrooms that looks very similar to this, I thing somebody else already made this game. You are free to try making your own version, but there is a game called the true backrooms already out. There are also many copies already made of this game.
