I am working on a Hotel building (just started), and I don’t know what to add, and where to add a roof, furniture etc. All feedback on how I could improve the little building you’ve already seen and what should I add. Please note: this is my first time building a hotel, so any feedback would help me a lot.
Looks quite empty, maybe add a staff area, a fireplace, elevators/a staircase, update boards, possibly some type of stand where when someone touches it, they automatically see a GUI with the gamepasses (yes, you’ll probably need help from an experienced scripter for this), a place for uniforms (if the group/hotel in general is going to make some) etc. Overall, it looks amazing!
Thank you for your critique, personally I can’t script however I might consider adding a few scripts here and there. As for the decoration, I haven’t added yet because I’m still struggling with the size of the lobby, thank you for giving me some suggestions on what I could add!
This window isn’t really needed here or on the other side, unless if you are trying to close the players in.
I would watch the color schemes and the open spots. There should be some pillars here and there for ‘support’. I would suggest looking on Google for hotel lobbies.
Great job so far and good luck!
Sincerely,
FallinqSnowFlake
Thank you for the feedback! Proportions, measurements etc. are actually my weak spot, I suppose I’ll have to work on it more. As for transitions, I’ll work on fixing them and making them more smooth, or making it impossible for a player to go there when it isn’t fully fixable.
Many hotels have cafes and seating areas in their lobby. Your lobby seems a bit wider and not long. You are squished when walking up to the lines, but when you walk left/right, there is a lot of wasted space. You could turn one of those rooms into a yoga room / pool or whatever.
Anything is up to you and your creative brain.
Sincerely,
FallinqSnowFlake
It’s a great start, however it’s quite a bit earlier to ask for feedback since it’s half done, but I think a lot of what has already been said will help you. I do have some suggestion though:
I’ll try using certain materials/colors in your build. At the moment it looks alright, however you should try finishing the design up so we can give feedback on building instead of giving suggestions since you got that planned already.
Most hotels I’ve seen have warm lighting and use a warmer color palette (try searching a picture on google to get some ideas to add to the interior). I also suggest looking at images of a real hotel that looks good to you. Then, you can try adding a bit of detail here and there one you get started making the rooms overall since the building is not yet finished there isn’t much that could be said.
I visited your place and unfortunately I noticed a number of cframe issues littered throughout your place. These minor problems all add up and detract from your build:
Your bar appears to have a number of the aforementioned cframe errors. It all comes down to size and positioning and you will need to experiment further in order to get it right and eliminate some of these errors.
This table seems to be floating in mid-air.
There are further cframe errors in both this large and the smaller pieces of furniture however this corner section comes across as being pretty messy. I think it woul dbe better for you to fill everything here in and just to add beveled bricks that look like cushions.
The belts on the barriers are not centered and there appears to be at a hole of the bottom of the stand.
The general look of the exterior is quite promising however I noticed a number of cframe clashes where paths meet, similarly the corners of boxes which surround the grass have got cframe clases and appear misaligned.
In the future you might want to keep an eye out for these kind of things. Hope this helps.
Looks SO good for just starting out! I saw you said your weak point is proportions… my advice would be to use NPCs which are essentially just Roblox characters. You can move them around and line stuff up with them to see how big or small something would be. They definitely help me out A LOT.
Well done! This is pretty good considering it is your first build. I would advise you to use more vibrant and more standing out colors and materials, maybe use some custom textures in your future builds! They help me a lot and I can give you maybe one or two if you want! If so, DM me on Discord. ObjectsThatTwist#8365
Hi there! Congratulations on the first hotel build. One thing that I would personally adjust is the transparency of the windows. You could do with making them .8 or .7 transparency instead of fully transparent. This would likely give it more of a realistic window feel. You did a great job with the windows on the small building to the side of the hotel. I would try to emulate something like that. Otherwise, just keep slowly filling in the lobby and it is going to come together in no time! I also want to commend you on your use of textures. They are quite nice for a first hotel project. Good luck with the rest of the build!
