Feedback on introduction to a game

A few years ago, I made a game called Multimatter Nightmare. I shortly gave up on it, but I recnetly picked it up again and decided to remaster it.

I am currently working on the intro of the game again, and I am trying to make a good experience for the player of the introduction. I desire feedback to figure out which parts of the introduction are lacking. Perhaps it’s the animation, the dialogue, or the sound effects, etc.

Here is a video of the intro to the game:

Thanks!

Another thing, the intro heavily relies on the player using a graphics quality of 5 or higher, and the lighting looks really bad without it.

I was wondering what I could use to make it look better for players who use a graphics quality lower than 5.

Would the atmosphere fog work somehow here?

The part where the guy slams his head on the table, I would’ve made it like this:

  1. Move the camera so that it shows the player’s face, the player is slouched over on their chair.
  2. The player slams their head on the table in the middle of the line “After writing all but 3 lines, the fool succumbed to his drowsiness.”
  3. I would do said action preferably with an anticipation frame, an exponent tween for when the player is moving their head down to the table, and then a frame where the player moves a little after the impact.
  4. The whole thing fades out as the camera is still on the player, who is moving slightly due to snoring. Said snoring could be done with 2 cubic out tweens from one snore position to the other.
