Hey, I would like some feedback on my first ever decent build. Thanks!

not bad for a first build, It’s got a fair bit of detail on the models and its all easily recognizable. What I suggest doing is increasing the roof height as its very low as well as adding a bit more shape to some things, such as making parts of the sofa look smooth instead of sharp and make the tv screen visibly separate from its frame.
Okay, I have a few tips for you on this one. Firstly, the lighting. It doesn’t cover the entire room which leads to some dark spaces in the corners. I would try adding more lights or expanding the reach of the lights so the whole room is lit up (not too bright though).
Second, the free models. As @angus23lego mentioned aboved, there are quite a few free models in your build. Although they’re not bad, just a reminder to be careful when you use them!
Finally, the entire build overall. Although the build has some detail, I still see some of clipping as well as some things that could be improved. The roof as an example, could be raised so you don’t feel like a mouse. Next, fix the clipping in the couch by putting all the parts together. (Union)
To union, select all the parts in the couch by holding shift, and then press the union button.
For your first build, it’s not the worst and as you progress, you’ll learn more useful tips like unions later on! Good luck/Job!
Thank you! I will be sure to do these
Thanks for the tips! I’ll use them.
I didnt use any free models in the build though lol, I built everything myself (that picture was taken from the web though)
Just a question about the lighting
Should I also add invisible parts with cancollide off and add lights to them for more even lighting?
Should I use blender for the furniture?
Making it smooth with cylinders makes everything look a bit uneven heh
Oh sorry about that, they just looked a little bit like some free models I knew. Nice job!
You can do that if you want but make sure you don’t make the room too bright as it will be hard to see and irritating to the players.
If you can then yes, blender would greatly improve it. From my own experience I’ve found that roblox building has been better for structures and buildings while blender meshes are better for furniture and props. It may take some time to learn but its definitely worth it.
