How do you like my lobby build for a hotel? What can I improve?
Please keep in mind not all of the planned stuff is on the walls due to me not finding a game name yet… if you have ideas please post them below. Thanks!
i say its good for a start but a couple things. 1 you should use other textures its all the same wood texture. 2 its lacking detail and i dont know what the picture is on the left wall but you should change it. 3 add stuff like chairs plants tables just different things because its empty and looks boring.
Yea, I was going to add chairs and tables and stuff to make it more realistic but I’m mainly looking for “How does this look in a realistic sense (not low-poly)?”.
The picture on the left wall is a TV that I’m going to add text to soon.
I hate to pick the rude-sounding option but I find more wrong with this than I find right with it.
The thing that bugs me the most about this build is the walls; they’re too thin, especially for exterior walls. The paper-thin walls you have now don’t look that structurally sound, kind of like the building is made of cardboard.
When I build, my interior walls are around the thickness you have now, and the exterior ones are at least a stud thick if not more. Of course, these are rough guidelines and it depends on the nature of the build and also personal preference.
On a more positive note, I think you have a good start on your colour palette, even though it’s just different shades of brown. I see a lot of novice builders slap a bunch of neon colors together and it never looks good, but this is already miles ahead of that.
