Hi! This is my second time making a low poly building but this will soon hopefully turn into a town! Obviously not done though, this town will just be ordinary or something like New York. I was unsure on how it looked. I was wondering what should be added, or if more detail should be added. Thank you! (Sorry for the Quality)
Looks pretty good but the doors seem a little big looking at it. Have you tried placing a NPC for size reference?
The trees could also use some work. They’re really basic and you need to add dirt around it or something because trees don’t grow on concrete.
I like the way it looks soo far but I think you could maybe change up the windows colours to a blue colour as grey looks sort of weird and in most low poly builds theres a blue colour for the windows + I think that you could like make the inside of the overhang things (the yellow and white things) should be made hollow under as it looks pretty weird I also believe the trees could use some improvement too
In general, there isn’t really a lot of things left to improve and the map is pretty nice.
Not yet but I will for sure fix that thank you!
Alright will do! Thank you so much!
Feedback
I really like the Low-Poly style on the building. It looks fantastic, and brings a nice touch! The roads and the assets has a nice design, and the building has a very nice concept.
Improvements
These are the improvements that can be improved by your building with suggestions. These suggestions will be helpful!
Window Details
The window looks basic and nice; but as for the improvements, it’ll bring a great touch on your details! You can try getting references/inspirations, add details with a window frame and by changing the window material to Glass.
Corner Wedges
There might be something with wedges on the bottom of the asset here, for example:
But that’s okay! It can be solved by the Corner Wedge. Corner Wedges can be used to the corner of the asset, making sure it’ll look smooth and fitting for your building.
Building Details
Inspiration can bring a great imagination of your creations, and adding details by the building can have a nice touch. I would suggest adding bricks on the building corner and on the top of the corner or add the bricks with decorations on the wall! It’ll bring a great style on your building.
Nature Assets
Nature assets will be an amazing idea to add bushes and grass blades. Trees could be also improved too!
I hope the suggestions for these improvements will help you a lot on your Low-Poly building, and I hope your building goes very well! Keep up the great progress.
I dislike the trees; they don’t fit in with the scenery as they are not low poly. Same with the lampposts. I also dislike the windows - I feel some colour should spice it up. I understand you are trying to get a realistic feel to the game, however it just doesn’t fit in with low-poly. Again, in the final image, the doors look a little off. I do hope my feedback helps!
The trees in the build make it not look so good, I’d suggest moving them considering it’s not low poly nor does it make sense, since they’re just sticking out of the concrete. You also have way too many windows on the buildings, you should remove a few of the windows and add more doors or something else to make the build stick out. Another idea I have for you is an alleyway in the back of the buildings to really give it a city type of feel.
Thank you so much! These will help me so much. Again, thank you!
Well done! How mentioned by others the scale isn’t right so I’d reccomend you to use a NPC to scale it.
In my opinion you should try to model trees in blender, after a few minutes of practice you can get super good looking low poly trees, and it’s also funny!!
Keep it up!
Edit: You could add a few/small details to the windows and to decrease the number of the windows.
If these weren’t wedge parts and were just tilted parts they would look a lot better
