Feedback on Low Poly Museum build

I worked on this for about half an hour and I think it looks pretty good for the time spent on it! Please leave feedback or criticism! Thank you!

Its a good layout except the door is not centered which can annoy a lot of people including me.

I can definitely see the door not being in the center now, can’t believe I didn’t see that before, thank you for the feedback!

I’m not sure about the middle pillar… I’d think it would be more of a nuisance considering it’s nearly (if not directly) right in front of the doors.

You also have stairs that go down to the sides from the front and end directly in front of the walls of the extensions off to either side which doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.

Otherwise it looks okay, but rather plain. Could do with more variation in colour, which you could do by adding more nature/greenery around and also using different shades of green in said nature to create more differentiation.

I think in the center above the pillars you missed the same yellow layer that the extensions on the side have.

Add more windows to fill in some empty wall spaces, maybe even “fake” some pillars in the walls to add depth, brighten the colour of the pillars slightly to increase the depth, and find some sort of simple pattern to fill in those empty brown triangle spaces on the roof.

The design of the windows and the door are looking good though and I like the general layout stairs aside.

If you wanted to boost it a notch I’d suggest looking into making some benches and putting them just out front either side of the door. Also look into using lighting, regardless of if you plan to use it in a day or night setting, lighting that’s done well can really make a build several times better looking.

Hope this helps.

Maybe in a technical way we could call it Low-Poly to some extent, but I would call that more of a low-quality build…

The building lacks a lot of detail and some of the details are disproportionate and asymmetrical.
It’s not bad for a start, but I would definitely google some nice Low-Poly references as they can be really inspiring. And definitely do not hesitate spending a few extra moments adding some extra details. It’ll be the best way to improve your building skills.
