Feedback on mace model

I’ve been working on my new game’s customisation mechanics for a while now, and have come to mace models. I haven’t really made any maces before and I’m noticing struggles with modelling them. I feel like my first mace already feels out of place with my other weapons. So I’d like to ask some feedback from others here as I’ve developed a personal negative bias over it. Tips to make it look better and more realistic are always welcome.

These are two swords I made previously, to showcase the general style it has.

And this is the first mace

EDIT After reworking the head a little and thinning it out:

It’s a-mace-ing!

Love your work!

I think the overall design is really nice, it’s just the colors and materials that perhaps need reworking.

Try making the white the same texture as the ball?

Also this pole seems really “fat” from the handle upward. Perhaps the joining should be changed?

I did some work to it. How is this?

Handle is all good now

Not sure about the design for the ball part.

The ball part is what can be interchanged in game, it’s a second iteration

Imo, it would look better if all the white/light grey spikes and ouchey bits were all grey. The contrast look isn’t really working for me personally.

The colours don’t really matter I suppose. The spikes and ball will each be recolourable. But I see what you mean with the example setup you see here.

Risky pun of the day
