I recently cooked up a Main Menu UI for a game I’ve been developing for, not everything is functional, but I’d like to know whether the current direction I’m going with it is alright. I am not a professional UI Designer at ALL, so feel free to say anything about the menu that I should change.
Here’s the quick showcase I made:

Looks nice overall, but the two main things I noticed were:
-
On the RELEASE screen, if the buttons are playable, you should make them have more visual contrast, especially by making the text and button color brighter, just as the “Conquest: Earth” text sample. The buttons currently look very low-opacity, giving the idea that they’re not clickable at all, you can keep that if they are supposed to be “locked” in some way (If they aren’t, then please consider the feedback above!)

On the loading screen, I think it’d look way better if all the text and loading bars were moving along synchronized, currently they all shake at their own pace and it looks a bit messy!
Of course, there are other things that could be polished, like a small blur to the background, lowering the speed of the confetti so it doesn’t take the visual focus away from the main menu screen, etc! But so far, so good
Yeah, I made a Sine Wave go at different frequencies for the loading bars, I will make sure to make those in unison. And for the text buttons I will be changing that too. Thank you!
