so i designed a military vehicle based off the modular army doctrine where units can quickly change depending on their mission, etc. and for this i designed a vehicle where the front (engine, driver cabin, front wheels, etc.) is the same, and the rear half can be easily interchangeable, where only the driveshaft and frame has to be bolted together, which can likely be completed by the vehicle crew itself and some basic tools.
ive also made armor kits similar to the ones rolled out for humvees. these are easily placed and aligned onto the front of a vehicle, and since the front will always be the same, no fitment is needed
also if these dont look very good in my defense this is my 2nd or 3rd ever modelling project, so im still a beginner and i know there are a lot of impurities in my builds, but thats what feedback is for
These military vehicles look extremely good! Great job on them! How long did it take to make them? Will you use them in anything? These are very well-detailed! I rate them 9/10!
took about an hour or two to design the front from scratch, but making the rear portions were super easy. im not using them for anything but i do want to get better at modelling so i could possibly start selling models, though i would need an appraiser to quote what my stuff could cost later on
Feels a bit too pickup truck like, which is, unless youre going for a paramilitary or irregular or technical look (which this doesnt seem to be the case), doesn’t really work
maybe extend the back and add a second set of rear wheels?
this is supposed to be a general use ultra light vehicle (used anywhere, airborne, ground, scout, etc.), and i took a lot of inspiration from the JLTV and SRTV, as well as the BDRM, Stryker, and GAZ Tigr
i guess you could say its very truck like, but its generally not meant for frontline fighting. this is just a utility vehicle that slowly put on light combat roles, but its usage is meant to be very similar to something like the humvee
