this mountain range is inspired by the Trascau mountains in Romania,it’s not quite finished yet,i’d say that the entire map is like-40% finished,i am going to add some more hills, cliffs,a village, caves, etc. what do you think about the map so far? Also, can you give some constructive criticism?
Wow! Really nice mountain range! It is very detailed! For the rock colour, I feel like you should use a colour like dark stone grey.
Hope this helps! Happy holidays!
It’s supposed to look like limestone, still,i am going to mess a bit with the lighting after i finish so it won’t be that bright overall. Merry Christmas and a Happy new year to you too thanks for the feedback.
EDIT: wet limestone kinda looks different though,i don’t know how to explain it,but it is a few shades grayer, with a tint of yellow. It kinda looks the same in contrast with snow, too.
So far your mountain range looks absolutely incredible!
In the near future you could possibly add some vegetation around the mountain.
You could also potentially add a small river as well.
I really love the way this is turning out. The snow on the mountains add a nice touch to it.
Would you mind sending more progress pictures later on? I’d love to see the changes you make in the future!
The actual area has hawthorns, dog rose bushes, blackthorn bushes, etc. I’ll try to recreate this environment.
(picture source:http://www.exploregis.ro/jurnal-de-calatorii/explorand-muntii-trascau/)This Mountain Range is So Cool! I was thinking you could make the stone multiple colours so it seems more interesting!
Thats all from me!
Happy Holidays!
Gonna use more materials like sandstone, slate, cobblestone, maybe even basalt. also going to add some moss (green ground, basically) and some snow variations (glacier ice).
Merry Christmas!
The moss and glaciers sound really cool!
Cant wait to see the update!!
This mountain does seem like the Trascau mountains. It’s insane how people can recreate a real life mountain onto Roblox lol. I don’t have that much else to say except that it looks realistic and cool to me!
I found an image that looks identical to this mountain as well, it’s awesome:
Sorry that its a stock image, it really is the best I could find.
I didn’t try to copy them (last time i did that with the Retezat mountains it was just a constant burnout to me,because i did not get all the details right*),but i tried to make a similar mountain range, inspired by the Trascau mountains. Thanks for the feedback
It looks amazing! I’ve used terrain before for mountainous terrain, and to be honest, i’m jealous!
How did you make the limestone look that way? Did you mess around with the colours/materials?
Merry Xmas as well
just changed the color of the rock material Merry Christmas!
