Feedback on my 2nd published game!

Hey guys! I wanted to get some feedback on my 2nd published game.

Stuff you should read, but not necessary.

I’ve recently come back from a 1-year hiatus from Roblox development. The 1st published game is no longer public, I took it off before said hiatus. So this is my only published game currently.

Without further ado, the game: Battle Burst!

Some things I want to know:

  1. How would you rate the overall experience?
  2. What could I improve? What should I add in the future?
  3. Did you find any bugs?
  4. Is the game good enough to put money into sponsoring it?
  5. Should I continue developing this? (I’ve had some people say this idea won’t get players and I’m wasting my time and should just move on. The purpose of this game is to build a fan base and get roux to make a better game.)

Also, what should I spend my robux on? I only have 10K, which is most of my life’s savings. Should I hold back until I make another game, or spend it on this game? (Commissioned maps, art, UI, etc?)

Finally, I want you guys to not hold back. I want to know everything that could be better or removed / added entirely. I’ve been on the platform for a while now. Just make sure it is CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.

Lots of free models, just to tell you. Maps are quite small, and end in odd ways that aren’t natural. I can’t see a single original model, besides the 4 part trees in the lobby :frowning:

I was kind of going for that, keep in mind this is only the second week of development. It needed maps, and I didn’t have a ton of time. By the way, I am working on new maps

Well they’re kind of meant to end that way, it’s a round-based game and we can’t have players jumping off the map.

Also, what else am I supposed to do? I’m just a scripter, my builds look… we don’t talk about that. And I have no clue how to use ANY 3D modeling software, not to mention I only have less than $100 (outside of my 10K robux) and no significant source of income.

hire a volunteer to help you with development

If you’d like, I can make you a map. For free, of course.

Ahh you’ve fallen into one of the biggest traps for roblox developers, in that its a two player game and i cant play on my own… You will need to either create an AI bot or pump in robux for advertising so that you reach the point where there are always players to play against…or add a lobby that will keep players interested untill there are enough people online…

Thanks for offering, I’m working with someone else currently to make maps. I have specific requirements and themes in mind. Thanks though!

I’m very introverted, I don’t like working with other people I don’t know. I only work with my trusted IRL friend @ChasonStuff.

Yeah… I don’t know how to code good AI. I feel like Obie’s or whatever in the lobby look kinda cheap. And how much would I spend on advertising? I only have 10K.

maybe a single player score attack? and 10k is defiantly enough to advertise, but you might want to double check with an expert

I don’t plan to use ALL of that 10K on advertisements, 2.5K - 5K at most. And what do you mean by a “Single Player Score Attack?”

Well if there isnt another player you can always get people to try and beat a high score or something like that…

since you’ve mention you wanna help for free i dont need help i just want your feedback on my map

Concept is good, but try to make it more original rather than the typical jungle or desert, good luck.

Like you know the way Arsenal have different maps, the way Piggy has maps, you can do that, like a mansion map for example, that would be interesting, or school, stuff like that, indoor and outdoor, to make things more diverse :+1:

That’s… what I’ve been doing. There’s more maps than just on the thumbnail.
