Feedback on my Canyon Map Showcase?

Hello, so I recently made an ultrarealistic canyon map showcase yet I used some meshes from the toolbox and some textures as well. I modified the meshes and textures and made them more glossy and reflective as well as imported a lot of my own myself and built this great map. Credits to whoever made some of the meshes and textures themselves.

Ferns don’t like arid areas, they tend to grow in rainforests. I suggest you to add desert type vegetation

It looks really good though. 9.5/10, I would add some cactus if you’d like, dead ferns too if you’d like we well. They’d look the best in this environment.

I Will do that, thank you very much for the suggestion.

I advise using a more varied selection of vegetation models and resizing each of them for added interest and realism, get creative with that. Ferns can and do often grow in canyons and gorges, but that’s only the case for temperate and mountainous parts of the globe. If this is supposed to be an arid region, i’d personally use grasses and shrubs. Plants don’t really grow in an orderly manner either, but rather in clumps, carpets or patches in places where the environment conditions are favorable.
You could go for a coastal fog desert look since it already looks so misty, notable examples of that biome can be found in the Andes. They harbor a variety of exceptionally drought tolerant cacti as well as air plants that get most of their moisture from the fog that defines this unique ecosystem.

And one last clarification, just because the rock is red that doesn’t mean it has to be used in a desertic setting, red rocks only indicate one thing and that’s an abundance of iron oxide.

I planned to make it misty as I really liked the idea and you could also see the gloss on the rocks making them look non-dry. But thank you very much for the suggestion
