Feedback on my cartoony game

Recently, I have been working on a linear tycoon with a cartoony, vibrant style. It is called Gold Tycoon. I would appreciate feedback on the game, and I even have questions for those who would like to spare me their time:

  • Is the progression of the tycoon too long?

  • Are the visuals blinding?

  • Is the game itself advertisable?

Thanks!

Ok so, basically you need to make islands a bit more naturally like there so round that make it look like you just started making games or using blender.
Next you should do scratches in portals, bridges, fences and rocks.
As well as delete these sticks from pinetrees

Make gold a bit slower since you can build your base fast, that doesn’t give cool gameplay.

Next is make empty island filled with some obbies where you can gain gold, and if you want get here you should make docks where you can teleport to island with obby.

Also fix/add music effect to jazz or children genre.

Answers to your questions first:

  • Is the progression of the tycoon too long? I don’t think so. It definitely helps having the Shadow Island to keep busy while waiting for the money.
  • Are the visuals blinding? No, they seem fine.
  • Is the game itself advertisable? Yes.

Some feedback:

  • Can’t use the menu teleport button for Shadow Island after dying. (The boss still damages after it’s been defeated.)

  • Do pets help with money or are they just something to collect?

  • A suggestion I have is to either add a way to increase walk speed or add a money collection rock in each expansion. (Love that look by the way.)

Definitely a game I will play. Love the look of it all! Great job

Thank you for your feedback, @TexanMom!

A: Pets going forward will most likely stay as a collection feature, as I don’t want to debalance the progression too much.

I will look into this! :+1:
