Feedback on my Christmas event!

Hey there! I have done a Christmas event for my fangame of Slap Battles by @Tencelll, and I’d like to have your feedback on it.

What I added for the Christmas update:

  • The new “Early BETA” phase.
  • New Christmas music.
  • I fixed all the “You met” badges.
  • I fixed a new bug with the portals.
  • I added the “Chocolate King” badge.
  • I added the “Nice with Santa” badge.
  • I added the “You played during early BETA!” badge.
  • I edited the HD Admin system.
  • I added a Christmas tree.
  • I added a Christmas house with Santa in.

I know that it doesn’t really looks like Christmas 'cause there’s no snow but I don’t really know how to do it…

Please be honnest, thank you in advance for your feedback!

Nice game! I like the simplicity. However, I think these few small changes could improve your game a lot.

  1. I recommend advancing your UI by using UICorners, UIStrokes, UIGradients, etc.
  2. I noticed the name of the glove is “GloveName Here”, consider changing that.
  3. Add an animation or sound effect whenever you use the glove.

Here are some big changes that I also recommend, and if you’re feeling stuck, there are always tons of tutorials here and on YouTube exactly about what I cover here.

  1. Instead of a physical “menu” (spawn area), you could add a GUI menu instead for easier and quicker access to the arena.
  2. I noticed that some models, such as this house and this bridge:

are floating in the air, most likely because you mainly use free models (which is OK!). After a little bit of practice, you’d be surprised at how much you can build to improve your maps.
  3. I saw lots of areas, such as the spawn and the contribution zone, up in the sky. Going back to #1, this could get rid of some of these areas, including the contribution zone. For others, I would consider placing them under the map and turning off the island’s CastShadow. You could also create another place using the AssetManager, place an area in it, and create a button that teleports the player to the place.

I hope my feedback helped you in some way. Keep creating games and updating them, I see potential in many of the games you’ve created.

Edit: I did not know badges were made free last year in February, my bad.

Thank you very much for your feedback, I really appreciate it.

I will try to do that!

Yeah I will do this, I just didn’t have name idea when I did that.

When you use the glove on someone, a “Slap” sound play, and I know I need an animation, but I’m very bad at making animations, I’m still searching someone.

No I prefer to make it as a spawn because my game is a fangame of Slap Battles and I prefer to keep the spawn like in the original game.

I will try to do that, but anyways a lot of people ask for working as builder for the game and because I’m bad at building I will let them do that

Also, it’s true I often use free models.

I am using some places using the AssetManager but for places like the contributor zone I prefer it to be in the main game. I will consider what you said, it’s a great idea! Also how to I turn off the island’s CastShadow?

Thanks for your feedback once again, have a great day!

If any areas go under the map, you should turn off CastShadow in the island’s properties to prevent shadowed areas. See property below:

I assume the island is a model, so you would have to select all the parts inside the model and then turn off CastShadow.

Hope this helped!

Thank you very much once again!

Yeah the island is a free model and it contains a lot of parts so it’ll be long…

Anyways have a great day!
