Feedback on my first game

Hey everyone I finally made my first game that isn’t an obby.
The game is just actually very simple. Anyways here’s the link Cube Shooter

It doesn’t have everything as of now, just the basics for shooting and progressing with the round. I do have plans to add some sort of power ups and weapons…

it’s pretty good I say, it plays pretty well. My feedback is probably to try to make the texts and main menu UI easier to read because the white text and the beige sand added with the light font weight don’t do well on contrast.

My suggestion is to add some darker background/backdrop to the main menu UI and for the other text you could probably add translucent background just enough so that it’s easy to read.

oh yeah also probably try to disable control when the main menu is visible, because I’m still able to move, unless that’s intended ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Cheers.

Thanks! I’ll definitely try to add more contrast to the UI, as for the control I didn’t really know if it’s best to let them move or prevent them from moving, so I just left it as it is! But now I feel like it’s best to stop them from moving.

Yeah looks really cool - you gotta push the graphics tho if you want it to be successful… The cube aesthetic is fun but they need to be more exciting
something like this maybe?

Then you can make skins unlockable and purchasable :stuck_out_tongue:
Also defintly use moving lightsources and PBR textures for the terrain and use future lighting. there arent many parts so it’ll still run on everyones phone but it’ll give you shiney metals and normal shading and just give the game way more depth graphically.

Thanks for the idea! I’ll try to add skins in the near future, do you have any idea where can I get some reference skins?

also, by saying moving lightsources, what do you mean by that?
