I started my game-dev journey this summer in my free time. I learned some basic stuff, systems, etc. With scripting I was a little comfortable because I did some scripting in high school and because of that I could read what every script does in a decent amount of time and I could learn from that.
In September I started to work on my first real game and finished it by Christmas (released updates until 6th of January). It didn’t get much of an attention (as expected on a first game, lol), but after a decent amount of robux invested into it (and sharing on discord servers) I got a few visits.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to do anything more until June because of admission exams to university, but I’d love to hear your thoughts, suggestions, opinions on the game.
To be honest, it contains lot of free models that are not matching to the theme of game. They are just there for no reason, it seems like decent game anyways.
Nice for a first game, some feedback to improve is to show text that shows the amount of money is being added by using a billboard gui. Other than that, I feel like there should some animation of you fixing the toy like what the elves do and perhaps also an animation of wrapping the toys up in a present. Last suggestion is ambitious which is expanding your tycoon area to become so large it looks like a factory/workshop. I would love to see an underground section to the tycoon, that’ll be cool!
I played a bit more longer and kinda underestimated your game. I thought the tycoon was only in the small hut but then I saw someone bought some currencies and buy a lot of stuff until he had a green building. So, sorry for underestimating and assuming in my last reply. Honestly, quite good. But you need to improve your game look, because the empty map kinda made me thought this game was going to be short and if players also thought the same, they will not see the other content that you put effort into. Other than that, some elves that don’t have animations should have animations. I still think the game needs to show text that shows the amount of money is being added by using a billboard gui. Lastly, I would love to see some reindeers or a sled that you can ride and perhaps earn money by riding around flying with it (mabye even have a minigame of delivering presents to other tycoons).
The most important thing you have to do is to make the map more charming so that players stay for longer to experience the other content you worked on. I would also love if the map had varied heights and have tycoons on hills instead of all of them being on a baseplate like most other tycoons but that might be ambitious.
Yes, unfortunately I didn’t have time to make the animations for the elves of the last 2 floors and to add a little more charm to the map. They are on my to-do list right now right after I take the exams.
I feel like many players don’t know that there is a second, larger, building and I’ll make something quick to announce them (a quick text on screen “Psst, you might want to go outside” so they see the button for the road to the next building).
I was intending in the next floor to have something like a reindeer train area or something like that, but your idea of a mini-game sounds extremely interesting and I’ll try to see if I can pull off something like that.

Thanks but I think you misread my post, I didn’t did the cash purchase but someone else on the server did it so I think you should be thanking him haha. I only knew about the green building and all the other elves by visiting his tycoon. Pretty chilled dude.
