Hello… This is my first post/topic so don’t destroy me please
So I made a gun with some basic stuff like aiming, shooting, and reloading. I would like to see your feedback on it. Oh and also… I’m all in for your criticism.
The gun mesh I used was from a friend. Probably going to make a more detailed one in the future.
The Ammo Gui is (mostly) inspired by Jailbreak’s gun system.
I am aware of the stuttering with the character rotation! Not really sure what causes it though.
About the first, nope, it is not a nerf gun. Sound isn’t really something I’m good at so that was pretty much the best I could do (might try to improve it though). You are definitely right about the recoil too.
About the 2nd, I’m trash at animation, but I will try to get it to look better.
About the 3rd, definitely going to make the arms move.
Look into getting better sound effects. A gun is usually quite loud.
The sound effects was literally me tapping my laptop. All I did was throw it into Audition and change the pitch and reverb. So yeah… I need to figure out what to do with that lol
Make the arm show the kickback, a gun doesn’t just lift up, the arm would be swung backward in a sort of arc.
Will try to do that for sure.
If you’re being real creative try adding particle effects to the barrel and a beam that aims at the hit position.
There is recoil… but it’s kind of unnoticeable lol

Hello! Since other replies suggest increasing sound and you say you’re using home sounds, I would use a stapler and pull the top up then let go. (PLEASE DON’T PUT YOUR HAND THERE! PLEASE DON’T!). Then change the volume in a sound editing software to be much louder. It creates a nice reloading animation. But PLEASE DON’T HURT YOURSELF WHILE DOING THIS.
