In my journey on learning how to develop Roblox game, I created this, Tele Obby! It is an Obby where players can teleport to move through obstacles. I want this to be fun, challenging, and unique!
Currently, there are only 10 levels, but I will add more levels in the future — in the released version there will be 25 levels with more game mechanics, leaderboards, and a Player’s Title System
So I need your feedback regarding anything that can be improved But most of all, I need feedback for all the levels in the game — is it fun? is it challenging? or is it just frustrating?
The intro to the game could be simplified down to a “Put mouse over here and press E!” instead of the long sequence.
Stage design might be a bit confusing as most won’t try to move their camera around objects, maybe add an outline to the green teleport objects so players have an easier time finding them.
Yeah… I’d say remove the whole intro, and just put a sign. It gets especially annoying if you die on the first part, and have to go through the intro again. The teleport countdown is also quite annoying
I don’t know if it works on mobile, but definetely add that, because most obby players are children on their ipads.
I honestly don’t see the point of the “10 teleports remaining.” Stages aren’t long enough for it to be punishing, and you almost never reach the limit anyway.
The unskippable intro as mentioned needs to be axed, and replaced with something more interactive. Quite boresome having to sit through it, it’s a good 15 ish seconds.
The teleport countdown also seems a bit pointless. It makes the teleport seem much more underwhelming, and less like you’re actually controlling it. Instead of making players have to react fast via a cooldown, design the map around fast reaction time. Put blocks in places where if you don’t press it in time it goes out of sight. Removing the cooldown will make things feel more responsive and satisfying.
Not bad though, I think this is a real unique game idea
About the intro, I have reduced the intro by 90% but still maintaining friendly welcoming to players
If you die in tutorial, you don’t have to go to intro again
I have put “Put mouse over here and press E!” tutorial guide for pc as well for mobile
What I will Implement:
Occluded highlight for green object to make it easier for player to find them but not make the stage easy (Making some of the stages hard is intentional)
Teleport countdown is to make people easier to find the timing of teleports especially for children, so I will just enable the countdown on mobile only or feel free if you have any other ideas
SKIP STAGE definitely will be implemented xD
Quick Thinking and Timing Stages will also be implemented

Also, the “10 Teleports remaining” is there because as the player progress , the stage becomes harder and might need “10 Teleports” but for this alpha testing phase, no stages long enough yet for that situation. So for “Punishing” players, is it good idea to set teleport limit each stage?
I also already adjusted the stage not to be fast reaction teleport gameplay, it is proven to be harder do it in mobile than PC especially for children and It is too early for that game mechanics. Maybe will implemented that in future for competitive time race gameplay.
