Feedback on My First Render

This is my first Roblox render! Your feedback is greatly appreciated as it will help me improve.

The posing is good and you used enough samples and resolution.

However itā€™s very boring. The lighting is colourless and almost completely flat. There is no background and the camera doesnā€™t show enough of the character

For your first GFX itā€™s not bad at all and I hope your next is much improved!

Thereā€™s not supposed to be a backgroundā€¦?

That looks sick! The lighting is amazing. By the way, did you use Blender to make it?

Well done, very surprised that this is your first render!

GFX should have backrounds though. Or else it looks extremely boring and not good at all. Unless this was for something else like a character to copy and paste on to a picture???

I think he was just testing poses and looks on how to use GFX. This is after all his first render.

Otherwise, for a first render, this is really good!

Nice, but the lighting I think could use some work. It just looks very flat right now.

Yep, I did. Thank you for your feedback.

Thereā€™s a difference between a GFX and a renderā€¦

Well tbh there used interchangeably these days so itā€™s hard to tell lol.

I am getting into GFX art style too! I like it but I would like it more if the whole character was showing but for your first one its pretty good!

The posing is a little flat and, with all due respect, ā€œlifelessā€ in my opinion. The lighting color is a little plain with it just being white but itā€™s fine, gives it a modern look. Iā€™m very very glad to see that youā€™ve used a rig for your first render.

Donā€™t let this criticism weigh you down, let it be helpful advice

Keep up the good work

Plain renders can be extremely helpful when it comes to YouTube or a very good way of starting out graphic design. These renders can be put in different pictures very easily with a little lighting and photo manipulation skill. While YouTubers can use renders with a transparent background in a more quicker fashion for multiple thumbnails, instead of having to repeat the process of making renders over and over again.

Yes I know how helpful they can be! I was just confused weather this was supposed to be a GFX or a render as people use the words like they mean the same thing.
