This was my first render today, and I am looking forward to making many more!
Please give me some feedback so I can know what I have done good and bad in. :smiley:

I can tell it’s C4D, I recommend learning lighting, it’ll make it look a lot better! Great job on the reflection and bump map. But I like the idea, and especially the character! Just look into lighting. Can’t wait to see future work

Also look at examples of some GFX with effects, the cloud seems oddly out of place personally.

I really like it, I just recommend changing the lighting. It doesnt fit for the background, But if you fit the lighting to the background it would be fantastic.

It’s an ok start - I remember my first render - it was horrible - but one thing I would suggest for you to improve on is the pose itself. The pose sort of helps tell the story of what you are trying to portray if that makes sense. I suggest spreading the legs and arm a little more as currently it looks very stiff, maybe tilt the head downward or upward and sideways a little so it’s still facing the camera but not too much.

It looks :fire: though I have a couple suggestions;

  • The avatar seems like it has a cast on and is a bit stiff, try making the bends more “bendy” also maybe rotate the arms/legs to give it bigger feel as if it was more alive
  • The clouds are confusing as it’s not set in a foggy or sky environment; why are they there…? e.e
  • The lighting could be a bit better and brighter, it looks like the clothes are made of rubber, try making the roughness higher?
  • The sword placement in the hand is a bit off, the shirt makes it so that the sleeve cut-off is at the very bottom of the arm and therefore the sword looks like it’s coming out of the wrist, you should be able to see the handle of the sword come out of the hand. (See example below)

Besides that it’s an amazing first render! I wish I started off like this lol, my first render looked like it was left in the oven and was forgotten about for a couple hours. :grimacing:

Thanks you! :smile: (30 charsss)

Thanks for the feedback, I will definitely implement that into my next render.

:joy: Thanks for the feedback puff!
