Feedback on my first roblox build

After only recently gaining Member I was wondering what kind of feedback I would get on my first Roblox build. I made this shortly after joining the Devforums.

(Looking on things to improve and any changes I that should be addressed)

Thank you!

I’ve been trying out this F3X plugin and it feels really smooth when working. I hope to make more builds soon.

Holy- This is so good that it’s hard to believe that it’s even your first build! Great job, looks amazing, even better than pretty much all the builds I’ve ever even made- You have a lot of talent.

Thank you!

Outside of Roblox I’ve made quite a few things but this is my first time ever getting my hands on Roblox building softwares/plugins. I hope to expand and impress more members of the Devforum community!

No way this is your first build haha, looks incredible for a first build!

I was honestly shocked myself, but once I managed to get a hang of how to change increments and mess around with the scales/rotations. I immediately set up a reference mood board and got down to work.

It took me around 4 hours total across 2-3 days. Which was crazy long I had to keep changing ideas and restarting but this was the finished results!

My lord this is better than I could do! At first I thought it had to be some type of mesh but quoting what you said:

I’m still astonished at the fact this is your FIRST build and there isn’t really anything to give criticism; it’s really good for a start!

I don’t even know how meshes work as of yet but thank you for the compliment!

I didn’t even start off with a tree. I probably should’ve tackled those basic builds first before I went straight to a fantasy style gate. However I’ve since built those and have made major progress! This build began development during the 26th of May only shortly after I signed up on the dev forums website since then I’ve made a lot more that I can’t wait to finalize and showcase!

HUGE potential here. First build? My first build was a horride copy of the Roblox HQ. Your build is awesome my friend.

Thank you!

Once I get a better understanding of the tools I have at hand, I hope to establish that potential and pave way into better builds and models!

Alright… For a first build this is literally AMAZING!
really wish i was that good at my first attempt :flushed:
The only feedback I have right now or I guess suggestions would be to make that neon have less bloom since its sorta hard to see what it even says (if it does say anything)
but overall this looks really really good and I absolutely love the style of this, I honestly can’t wait to see whats next if this is just your first build!

This is great feedback, and no it doesn’t actually say anything, I was confused with the bloom effects at first but I did go back and adjust it in the 1st image posted.

I’m glad you enjoy the style! My next build is already in its final stages and I plan to post it later on today to gather some feedback on changes I could possibly make.

Stay tuned!

Funny enough the first image didn’t actually load for me the first time I checked the post
(my bad lol :flushed:)
but yeah, the bloom looks much nicer and you can see the little symbols there quite nicely,
Also I can’t wait to see what’s coming later since its probably really really good and ill be glad to give feedback when you post it.

Also just wondering how long do you usually work on these builds since they look like they take quite a good chunk of time (depends on how fast you build though as well since I build quite slow)

That’s okay, I already made my attempts at doing an interior study in my most recent topic it went quite well and allowed for me to improve my sense of detailing!

Well for this build, since it was my first I decided to record the process, it took around 2 hours for me to finish the block-out with additional details. After that I went through around another 2-3 hours of rescaling and switching up the design as I went along, finally finishing up by adding materials and colours, so I would round it to about 6 hours for this build.

Despite that seeming like a lot of time I would probably take around the same amount of time lol (maybe shorter) it is quite nice for something made in 6 hours though. Especially for a first build, many of the builds I have built have taken many many hours (some have taken multiple days or around one day in total of rounded time). So it’s gonna be cool to see what you could be able to make with more than 6 hours of work! (might be worded badly idk)
