Hello! I’ve recently finished a small showcase. Making the curvatures on the structure was extremely part-intensive and time consuming, so if you know any better methods besides using Oozledraw and gapfill please do tell. Otherwise, I’d love to hear some feedback about what you think, what you’d add to the environment, or what you’d do differently. Thanks for your time
For those who are unable to visit the place (or prefer a different means of accessing the build), would you be able to provide images on the forum instead? A place link to play itself is nice and all, but images provided by you would also be nice - perhaps even a better way of requesting feedback on a build. Providing images would also allow critiquing based on those images by essentially defining highlight points that you want to focus on.
This is a pretty good and original build. But the inside of the building is a bit empty and there could be more vegetation on the outside. This should be fixed:
Lovely concept, especially the trees but once again, a little detail couldn’t hurt. You could add some more detail to the floor maybe some cool designs of tiles, add nature to empty spaces; rocks, flowers, etc. would also work, you could also add some pillars getting the concept from cathedrals and such, sun rays that goes through the windows would be also lovely, be sure to add contrast. Good luck and have a good one!
Wow that’s actually really good. Curves are a pain to do on studio and you nailed them in the building style. My only suggestion would be a bit more stuff around the building, like a few more props, maybe some books and things lying around inside, just little objects to fill out the empty space.
I absolutely love the build, I’m incredibly impressed by the use of shadowmapping and sun positioning that allowed you to cast the diamond shadow over the altar! Hecka cool.
Suggestions:
The building itself doesn’t feel established into the terrain itself, it feels like it was plopped on. I’d add a little bit more foundation that smoothens the transition from lush grass to the reinforced structure of the church.
There’s still quite a bit of room in between the church benches, I’d suggest filling up the room more so it’s more decadent and awe worthy.
The lighting is kind of harsh (Sun Glow), I’d also try to tone that down without losing the shadow effect. (Although this is very limiting)
