Feedback on my first UGC Concept

Hello! I made this Fan-backpack I guess you can call it. I wanted to do something kinda original. I know my modeling skills are still a bit harsh lol. Still, give me feedback of what you think! It can be good or bad things and also things that I can change or add. I JUST WANT TO CLARIFY THAT THE THING IS ON THE BACK NOT THE FRONT.

It’s pretty good for your first attempt, you could add some additional shading or shadows to give a bit more depth to the texture.

Shading? I’m still new to texturing but the reason there were no shades was that I was not in render mode. I’m sorry if I’m wrong! And thanks for the feedback

By shading I mean adding some additional depth to the texture like in these examples:

It can help to make it look a bit more realistic unless you are intentionally going for a more low poly look.

Oh ok thanks But I think I need to learn about how to use textures more first

The model itself is very good, although you’d probably want to do something which the community can understand so that it can get more sales, I’d highly suggest getting inspired by the current creations there are inside the Avatar Shop, you’d want to do something that everyone likes and understands what it is. Other than that, it’s all good.

okay thats good advice. Thanks!

Looks very original! I like the look of the model.

It might be cool to also have it as a shoulder accessory, so the fan is pointed towards the person’s head. Maybe also a hat accessory with the fan pointed towards the person’s head and floating in the air.

I think the idea of the model with it strapped to the back is a little confusing, but I think the model looks very good and definitely has potential. You could take the tower and the fan blade and put two on either side of the player’s head (as a hat) and call it something like “drone head”. You could also take the fan blade, scale it up, and make it into a “back propeller”.

Yeah, that was smart. My idea was to make it seem like a propper on the back, like a homemade airplane. Thanks for the feedback! Like this:Screenshot 2023-01-05 175529

Oh that’s clever! I like that idea

Thanks  But I understand that many don’t understand that, and I think you ideas would make more profit if it was a real UGC!

Solid idea!

If you have the budget for a professional industry level texturing program, I would invest into Adobe Substance Painter. From there you can check out tutorials on how to work around the system and eventually improve your texturing skill. :+1:

You could say I’m a fan… of this concept. Could have a couple changes like thinner and more fan blade shaped blades, maybe a cover over it too. For safety of course.

Thanks man! Nice feedbkack I might try that when i have some money left lol

I was planning on that but the tris was wayy tp high

Wow, that’s amazing!
Overall it needs shading

Yeah Do you know how to do good shading? If so do you have any good tutorials or anything that can help? Thanks for the Feedback

No problem, I was planning to create one tutorial but I didn’t have time to make it, and my computer is being repairing, there are lots of tutorials in YouTube btw.

you used NEW YEARS RABBINUS HOOD as an example?

Yes I did, to show what I was explaining.
