Hello everyone, there’s a game I developed for three months, and while it didn’t reach the prospects I was expecting from it there were a lot of things I learned when I finally made it public. For example, the players first interest is not the UI but exploring the map which I totally butchered. Another example would be doors being mistaken as teleporters. These things I didn’t put effort into severely lowered player expectations of the game leaving me with 0 out of 130 coming back(10+ visits were from my alt).
All in all, everything I had poured into my coding and UI elements wasn’t that important because what the players wanted to see was the map, not be impressed by my technicalities, but that’s okay! Both the codes, and UI elements I worked on can be recycled and reused for a completely different game I’m about to start working on… today, so those three months I suffered nonstop from putting dedication into the game has turned into experience that carries on with me.
Back to the topic at hand, before I actually start scrapping my game I would like the community in this devForum to give me an honest review of my game, what you think of it, your likes, dislikes, and maybe how it could’ve been further improved.
I don’t really have anything to give back to developers that review my game other than fancy UI template examples, and game ideas. But I will say this, for those that do check out the game and leave a feedback on it, thank you very much. I really mean it, having an amount of knowledge before I start making another game would save me a lot of possible mental damage and time, so really… thank you.
Heres the game: 💎Cash Clicker! - Roblox
Edit: I forgot I disabled the scripts, sorry for those that didn’t see much of anything.
Edit2: The main platform this game was designed for is on mobile phone, but for some reason people playing tablet played way longer than those on the phones.
