Feedback On My Fishing Game. ("Fisch")

Some video-demos and attachments regarding my relaxing fishing game (“Fisch”). Inspired by a plethora of games but majorly Stardew Valley & Animal Crossing for their simple and calm gameplay!

Looking for some feedback on the project!

Some side info for people curious:

  • Fish have a VAST variety of differences, such as where they are caught, their max and minimum weight, how hard they are to catch, favorite lure bait, favorite season, favorite weather, and list goes on.

  • Fish can also be “Shiny” which is similar to Pokemon shiny’s where they have a recolour/remodel. They can also be sparkling which gives them some obvious sparkles, glow particles, and a vague light source.

  • Rods have a vast variety aswell, and some are situational (on purpose) and the “Best rod” debate is meant to be somewhat difficult and situation dependant.

Here is some more attachments.

This was only made over a few weeks, and as of now I am losing interest in the project so please do give feedback!

A german word as a game name!?!?!?!?!

Anyway from what you showed it actually looks pretty nice. The UI and the gameplay of getting the fish are really interesting made. The fish have a great model and look, including the map, pretty realistic.

Looks really nice- not trying to judge the mechanic but:

i would rather press AWSD or any key rather than just clicking on the interface to catch the fish, some people may find it too ‘‘Robotic’’

but looks good, i’m not looking at the bad side, it’s just an opinion, but rlly nice work, i like it

Thank you!

And you mean for the shaking UI? It is all click related as of now and i’ve heard people prefer both as of recently. However the shake UI is not mandatory as u can catch fish without clicking once on those buttons

That looks really good! The thing that stands out the most to me is how well the UI all fits together. If your losing interest, I’d say maybe just work on a new part of the game, but don’t give up on it and go to a new project for a while because I’ve done that before and I just forget about my old ones. I feel you though because I hate the bs I’m working on right now (all my animations in blender for a Glock just got deleted :sob:)

Thank you! I’m very pleased with how the UI turned out as i hate clunky or confusing UI so i try to make it as simple as possible.

And I’m trying to pick it back up, I hope you do the same and find a project you’d like to stick to!

Glad you kept working on the project, if you didn’t you would’ve missed out on a lot.

You said this months ago and now the game literally broke the charts within weeks of release. Well done!

I tried out the game, and it’s very easy to get into. I like the variety of fish you can catch, because it creates no end to the amount of times you can play. I checked in with one of my friends, and they said it was one of their favorite games to play. Nice work!

I just opened Roblox cause I’m sitting around waiting, and I saw my friend playing the game and thought, “oh that’s funny maybe he saw me checking it out the other day and decided to join”. But it has 150k active players??? Congrats bro that’s insane numbers.

I’m genuinely in awe of how successful your game became. I literally have nothing else to contribute to this post besides that. Good job.

“400? Nah imma do 400k!” WoozyNate’s consciousness.
