Feedback on my game did better than I expected

So I released this game a while ago now:
Obby but your a parrot
It wasn’t completely finished but I stopped working on it so I published it. I looked at it recently and it actually gets players. Now, it didn’t get many but the numbers are inclining and it is my most successful project yet. I was wondering if anybody has any ideas on why it gets players (without ads btw) I thought it might be because it’s a popular game category but please let me know what you think. Thanks!! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

obby games are usually hard to grow most of the time once somebody completes the obby they just leave and never join again theres also big competition since it has been done many times so you would probably need quite good chunk of robux to put on ads to possibly expand game and even if you did that theres still no guarantee it will succeed

about the game :

  1. collisions and controls are quite weird

  2. infinite yield

  1. game has no music

there’s nothing much to do besides completing obby so there’s not a lot to say

Just played it and it’s fun, but yeah what the other guy said.
BG music helps a lot and I think if you disabled collision on the bird wings and feet it would feel a lot smoother.

That’s actually pretty common, your game’s genre, “obby but …,” is still quite popular today. Other similar trends, like “do something at 3 am” ending games, “raise a …” games and right now fishing games, also experience the same type of growth.

Usually, Roblox takes some time before it starts showing your game in the search bar or the recommendation tab, the same thing happened to my game.

Good luck!

Thanks I will definitely add music!

Okay thanks I will do that! :grinning: :grinning:

Yea I thought so, I’m working on a game called catch a flight at 2am right now lol. And yes almost all of my player are from the search tab and some from friends but none from the home page.
