I recently made the icon, thumbnail, and logo for my new game Pistols out!

I feel like you should add more, but other than that it looks great.

I like the minimalistic or simple design. But yea maybe its not everyones cup of tea to catch players attentions. Try to add one more element with good contrast and i think it will look even better. Great job

the pistol silhouette is looking a little plain. i suggest you take a gun from the toolbox, render it in blender, then set the brightness to 0. it’ll look a lot more interesting that way because you’ll be able to see the details better. it’ll make ur gun look less chunky too.

try to avoid using a lighter colour for glow/shadow on dark coloured objects. i understand that you were trying to make the gun more visible but trust me, outlines on black objects make the whole thing look tacky. change the background colour instead, or go for a less simplistic approach. you could use a blurred image of one of your game’s maps to give the person viewing the thumbnail a little bit of insight to what the game is about if you want.

the colour of the muzzle flash isn’t nice imo. stick to a set colour palette when it comes to making icons yourself. you can’t just chuck any colour at an icon and expect it to work. you can’t really do that with shapes either; every item on your canvas is meant to have a purpose. that’s what makes these things look unified and neat.

i think what @/Xydohr meant was that you should add more shapes in the form of extra bullets, shadows of roblox characters, etc. right now the thumbnail looks quite boring. i suggest adding randomly angled straight white lines all over the canvas to look like bullets being shot around. one line going through the text might look nice too.

i really like the way you did your text btw!! the only thing i dont like about it is the gradient angle of “out”. it’s kind of boring. make the angle -45° instead. it will be a lot more pretty.

Thanks for this! I’ll play around with the colours and shapes, look at the logo and everything.:slightly_smiling_face:

Off to a great start! Designing can be hard especially when designing for yourself.

The top one looks off centered to me. The second one, the wording covers too much of the pistol up.

Try combining the two together. I did a quick design. Hope it helps get the brain juices flowing.

Maybe instead of the red, you should add white lines behind the bullet, also if you are looking for a good color scheme for your icon you should use adobe color, it can really make a difference with a picture.
