I recently made this game icon for my game called “Knockback Attack”, and I was wondering if it is a clickable, decent looking icon.
I was also wondering if I should reconsider using a dark background since it might not be very eye-catching. Any feedback helps.
This is an awesome icon! I like the neon effects, the text is legible, the VFX are great, and the overall icon tells allows the user to assume what the gameplay is.
The background looks dark enough to me, but I’m not opposed to it being darker. The neon makes it stick out enough. Also, the “new” banner of the Icon feels like filler. The game can’t always be “new”, right? So, eventually it’ll have to go, but I think it’s fine now.

I’d say the red border definitely helps it stand out.

This game icon definitely stands out, I would say though maybe remove the purple hue around the stick, I’m guessing it’s an enchanted stick from Minecraft. Maybe try making it another color, in my opinion it seems like a conflicting color with the red border
