Feedback on my game "Obby Adventure"

Hello, I and a few friends made an Obby game called Obby Adventure. This Obby game I believe you guys will be surprised by the amount of work we have put into the game, as this is no ordinary Obby. I wanted to see if other developers could join the fun and give off feedback for the game. This could be building errors, art design, UI design, etc. We are always open for feedback if you want to give feedback about changes towards difficulty or a particular stage! We appreciate you taking the time to join our game and see if any input is necessary. Thank you, and enjoy!

I really enjoy the experience’s overall artwork and design. Additionally, I like the fonts you used because they perfectly complement the experience’s design. I’m not sure what is going on with the badges, though. I unboxed one of the crates, and before it even landed on an item, I got a badge saying I got a common item. Additionally, the welcome badge’s name (currently Obby Adventure Welcome Badge Icon) should probably be shortened to something like “Welcome!”. I’m not sure if this was intentional, but on stage 18 of the island course, you can stand on the grass below to find out which one you can go through. Either way, I think this experience is fantastic all around. Good job!

Hello there,

I’ve played a few of your game modes so I can give you the best possible feedback. First of all, your game looks good and neat. It’s very nice that jouwn game doesn’t advertise products to buy and that you can play freely. It’s also nice that you can choose between levels so everyone can play in their own way.

Couple of improvement points I see is mainly in the User Interfaces. After my opinion, they are quite standard and could perhaps be made a bit more unique, maybe even with a “cartoony” style. This would be a bit more focused on the audience you want to focus on (most likely mainly players under 17). I would also make a different loading screen in connection with the image not being very sharp (this comes automatically through roblox anyway).

I would keep an eye on your game to make sure it does not resemble another game too much. In my opinion, the game is somewhat similar to one I have played in the past. This might cause you to “rip off” players and get into trouble with the original developers.

I hope I’ve given you enough information! If not, feel free to ask me some questions what else you want to know.

As shown in this screenshot, the sun on this map gives off too much reflection of the water, otherwise, the game is looking pretty sweet.

Hi, thank you so much! You are just awarded the badge right when you unbox something, so that is why. There is a neat camera thing you can do with stage 18 that lets you know which one it is so that it wouldn’t matter anyways, but I appreciate the feedback!

I’ll be sure to let the builder know. Thank you! Did you manage to test any other maps by any chance? It’s fine if not just curious if the lighting for those is either bright, dark, or perfect.

We believe that every player has a difference in “skill,” so we manage to provide difficulties in which players can choose whether they want the challenge. We also do not like shoving things at players’ faces, like a game pass every 2 minutes or something, because we want players to have a fun experience, not something that continuously is popping up or getting in the way of the fun! We plan to change the UI once we start advertising the game more, as this is day 2 of it being public, so we are still fixing bugs/changes anyone may encounter! Thank you for trying out multiple modes. It does help with feedback and difficulty scaling!

I had to go out for a bit and forgot about it, sorry about that! It’s pretty late for me at the moment but tomorrow I’ll be sure to check it out further to gather some more feedback for you.

Overall, the game has an amazing build style. While challenging, the gameplay is fun and unique. Because of the many worlds to choose from, this game offers a good variety of stages, which many modern obbies lack.

My biggest advice is to improve the UI design. The current style is too bland and frankly not appealing. Though I do like the simplicity, a redesign could help make the game more appealing to the eye.

Lastly, I would recommend lowering some of the prices for game passes and developer products. Though the prices may be appropriate for a super popular game, your game will not sell many products as it is a very new game. I recommend you to lower prices for the time being until the player count picks up.

I appreciate the feedback. Again, our game is all about the difficulty level and ensuring that players can either take a challenge or play casually, as only some play the same. The game is very free to play. Game passes have an advantage, but overall, if a player wants to complete the obby in one sitting quickly, then game passes would be for them. Although we do not allow game passes in the “Hardcore Mode” as we feel it cancels the purpose of what Hardcore is supposed to accomplish, the same with skip stages. Featured Items, I agree; I will change the prices to be much cheaper; thank you for the feedback.
