Feedback on my game Spinny Cube

Hey I made this game in about 30 minutes and was wondering if anyone has any ideas about how I can advertise it and make it better. This was just a test of my scripting skills.

Interesting concept!

One issue though, I think the cube moves too fast and it doesn’t update enough. It looks kinda laggy.
I think it would also be a lot better if the kill bricks moved with the part and you weren’t just thrown into the cube. Maybe add a simple load screen or just a button that says “play”?

I can see this becoming an interesting game.

In addition to @nyawcola’s ideas, I have a couple of suggestions:

  • You should play around with data stores so that players’ best times don’t reset when they rejoin the game. This would probably help a bit with retention.
  • I was able to sit AFK in one spot and grind time for a while. To prevent players from being able to do this so easily, maybe consider adding PvP mechanics so that players can knock each other off the cube and fight for time. If you really wanted to get technical, you could replace the simple time counter with a score counter that would give you more points per second if more players were in the game.

Amazing work for just 30 minutes of work! I would say to not worry too much about the advertising part until you have something with a little more sustenance, like maybe a pvp mechanic or different game modes. It would be an interesting idea to have multiple minigames, with the twist being they all involve that one cube rotating. Once you create an experience with more interactivity I would suggest reddit for 3rd party advertising and paying for Roblox ads (of course). Last suggestion for advertising is asking content creators to play your game and make a video on it. Hope this helps, keep on creating!

Yea I was trying to fix those kill bricks.

Good ideas, I am trying to learn datastores.

Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it!
