Feedback On My Game

Hi everyone

I recently finished building my new puzzle game called Memory Maze where you have to get to the other side by memorizing a green path. It’s a fairly simple concept and I appreciate if you could give it a try and give me some feedback!

The game is hard… Anyways it’s a really good game! Though it’s not too engaging. I would suggest adding a scoreboard for wins as well as different cosmetics maybe to make it more engaging. As well as adding more to the plain lobby.

Doing this because it is highly unlikely that people here would test this game

This one is a clever trick to make people play for longer period of time, Good Job on this, Maybe add another leader board with “Most number of tiles cleared”

The map looks really dull, make it bright and add more colors etc.

like Bee swarm simulator as well as super hero tycoon, make this thing connect the player and the button, and make it disappear as soon as the player interacts with button.
and make the button look more decorative and attractive

idk if you did this because the map won’t fit vertical resolution but i feel like during the cutscene the camera should move vertically instead of horizontal movement

Hide the light beams during this time, also maybe add green glow to the tiles as well

Extra: start an economy inside the game, maybe add different skins for the tiles that have been cleared, add a hint button and different path for different players within the same lobby so that people can play with friends. make the end stage look good maybe add the statues of the winners.

Good Job, and keep it up.

It becomes easy when you realise each new direction if 4 tiles long, except for a couple outliers at the end

So there is quite a few things you can improve.

First of all, great concept especially since it’s from a MrBeast video. Might be able to bring in a lot of players.

Things to improve:

Concept

  • When you finish the game, no new rounds start. You’re just like stuck on the GUI until you leave and rejoin. Maybe make it a round based game. So when someone wins, a new round starts.
  • Make more than just 1 pattern. Make it random. So it chooses the path itself every round. Right now I know the whole pattern by memory, and I know it’s a memory game, but I wouldn’t play again when I’ve won. There is no point for me to try again.

Building

  • I feel like it needs some more detail and lightning when you spawn in.

GUI

  • The GUI on Mobile doesn’t fit the screen, and the buttons overlap the text.

But it was a great idea, so I think this could be a nice game!

I swear I’ve seen this patterm somewhere lately
