Hello!!! I have just finished the gas station build for my upcoming game, City-Z, and was wondering if you all had any suggestions of what to change or add to make it look any better. It’s based off of a seven-eleven and uses a modified version of the free model for the original building (the actual store). Most if not everything else is built by me or is an asset from one of my other games, though there are a few FM assets like the tools on the floor next to the rusted car!
PS: Sorry if this is the wrong area to post this; I don’t post often!
Overall looks good.
Since I don’t know what style or look you are looking for with your City-Z game I don’t know any advice to give.
Although the Insides look empty and the trashcan on the outside has more detail than the rest of the model so it looks out of place
You’re right about the trash can part. I will probably build my own soon, but for now it’ll act as a placeholder, and also City-Z will be a fighting game kinda like The Streets, Da Hood, Shinjuku 2006, and other similar games with its own unique mechanics to set it apart.
A few suggestions though:
The Neon seems a bit too much, unless you are looking for a cartoony effect. Maybe try using a slightly darker colour which will tone down the Neon, or you can make it very slightly Transparent to fade it a little.
Not many 7-ELEVEn stores I’ve seen have car parts by them. I can’t recall ever seeing a combination auto repair shop and 7-ELEVEn.
The interior will obviously need some stock, but from your pics the shelves look a little thin and the front lips of the shelves are really high. I’d suggest taking a look online at some convenience store shelving images so you can see how they look.
