Feedback on my GFX art!

Hey there! I am currently making a café group and I thought it would be a good idea to create GFX art and edit it for the game’s thumbnail. This is one of my first GFX that I have made and it took me around 2 hours to make. By the way, I edited the GFX and added some effects on it. I’d love some feedback!

Raw GFX

Thanks!

I’m not a fan of the text, the front and the color is a little weird for me at least, maybe add the logo of your cafe and not a character.

The only reason why I selected that color font is because it matches the lighting in the actual cafe.

Its kinda ugly,I would walk away from the game and go to a another cafe. Sorry if it sounds harsh!

I will not use this one then, since 2 negative comments. I will make a different one and thanks for your feedback!

The gfx is well done in itself, what I would recommend is that the main miniature is of what you have built so that people have a clear idea of a nice visual style.
The more your game is illustrated the more it will want to be playable

Here’s an example of a cafe LOGO image Use this type of logo not a character render for a cafe logo.

Do you mean show more of the cafe build?

I would like to say it is hard for me to see the text in the first picture

What colour is best visible then?

I would add that logo to the GFX somewhere so they know what the cafe is and get used to the logo being seen.

It is the “Drink” that is currently a bit hard to see. Maybe have the pillar’s shadow removed or you might have to find a contrasting colour

I would recommend a logo that is a bit like the one above, put colors that do not have to give the feeling of a coffee would not notice anything in common

I am not an artist but I think it will look better if the text is more bold and some brighter color because brown blends in with the background. So maybe white?

Ngl Its looks like its more like a horror game than a cafe.

Its nice but I cant really really tell that this is a cafe game unless I read the text, maybe him sitting in a seat with a coffee? Also that font isnt really the best, maybe try “Luckiest Guy”

Doesn’t really fit in with the cafe theme at all,
I recommend maybe doing a gfx of a guy sitting at the table with a laptop while sipping a cup of coffee with a croissant on a plate next to the laptop.

I have a few tips for you.

First of All, I think you should change the text font. Your watermark’s font type is fine, though I think you should change the blend to overlay, as it looks much better that way.

Second, the quality is not the best. When you rendered, I don’t think you checked the quality. There is a lot of noise in the image.

Third, you have way too much Fringe! You should only have a little bit of Fringe for the outline and such.

Fourth, this thumbnail looks more like a horror game than a café. I think you should add a bit more happy colors!

Fifth, for the logo, the quality is not the best. The logo itself is alright, but I think you should add text on it and, as always, get feedback before use.

Sending my best,
Tal

I’m not agree with some negative comments XD
I really like the gfx but It’s true, We can’t see very well the text and I don’t like so much the font, but you know, It’s your choice, I like this icon/thumbnail/logo and I will like more if you can change the text. You can add a black stroke with the text in white or the opposite, it’s only my opinion, have a nice day and luck with this logo!
